Sage character Blog
What is Sage?
Sage is Eggman’s advanced artificial ai daughter, whom he considers his greatest creation. Sage’s base code was made by The Ol Egghead, but the scope of abilities was vastly modified once she integrated into CyberSpace. Sage can run a bunch of calculations and simulations, more impressively she can run 1,700,050 simulations in an extremely short timeframe and has run millions of them to find the best outcome for dear old dad. Sage lives by the odds and calculations, while also being able to use these abilities to detect weaknesses. Though, she is prone to jumping at any scenario that leads to victory.
Abilities
Flight
Simply put, she can fly.
Energy Projection
Sage can fire energy blasts.
Telekinesis
Sage used her telekinesis to destroy GUN Planes in CyberSpace.
Teleportation/Non Physical Interaction
She can teleport and move through walls, she can also interact with the digitized versions of Tails, Amy, and Knuckles.
Summoning
Through her connections with CyberSpace, Sage can summon The Titans.
Hacking
She can hack any piece of technology like Supreme, as seen above.
What is CyberSpace?
CyberSpace is a bit complex, so let's break it down. CyberSpace is a digital world separate from other areas in Sonic's universe and possibly other dimensions, it is a type of mysterious space that is only accessible through portals on the Starfall Islands.
CyberSpace is a dimension built on The Ancients' hopes, dreams and their very essence, everything that made them who they were. Sage refers to CyberSpace as a space where countless pieces of information become one, with Dr. Eggman stating he "is the world itself, and the world is me".
Eggman also states that Cyber Space extends well beyond the scope of the islands and is gaining information from around the world. Sage herself is integrated with CyberSpace, and is able to travel between it and The Starfall Islands Through her integration, Sage has the Data in Cyberspace.
Cyber Corruption…..Oh Boy
This might get contentious, and I wasn't even aware it could be till now, but just bare with me. Cyber Corruption is some pretty nasty stuff, through her Cyber Cages, or possibly even just her aura, Sage has access to Cyber Corruption. What is Cyber Corruption?
Cyber Corruption is an affliction caused by exposure to the energy of the Ancients' Cyber Space, and its prolonged exposure. Cyber Corruption can physically enter the body of those unfortunate to cross its path, the effect will worsen as time goes on.
Stuff Cyber Corruption can do:
Sensation Manipulation: Causes Sonic to lose his sense of touch entirely, being unable to feel his body, Amy described her experience within a Cyber Cage as being unable to see or hear things clearly
Memory Manipulation: Those afflicted by Cyber Corruption will eventually lose memories down to their names
Paralysis Inducement: Cyber Corruption makes it harder to move over time
Empathic Manipulation: Being trapped in CyberSpace forced Knuckles to experience terrible visions and emotions as memories
Soul Manipulation: Holds the victim soul prisoner
Interdimensional BFR: Cyber Corruption will result in them becoming stuck between realities
Immobilization: Leaves those unable to move
Soul Erosion (Cyber Corruption was repeatedly noted to be causing the erosion of Amy, Tails, and Knuckles' Digitized bodies; bodies that are repeatedly stated/implied to be their soul
Power Nullification (Cyber Corruption nullifies access to certain abilities
Automatic Translation Amy understood the language of the Kocos in real time despite the language being foreign to her and Sonic being unable to understand them
Okay here is the big one, Tails states that the defensive forcefield and portal leading to Cyber Space produced by approaching the Starfall Islands, to defy the laws of the real world, manifesting logical disparities to the bottom of causality. Sage even goes on to state that Sonic was attempting to transcend causality itself. Now recently I’ve learned this was apparently contentious, one of the reasons being that Ian Flynn likes to keep Sonic grounded.
Ignoring the fact that Ian Flynn has long been known to write feats, more than once that is beyond grounded (an atom smasher….yeah pretty grounded), it wasn’t written by Flynn, but Morio Kishimoto, Frontiers Game Director, and it was for the Japanese version of Frontiers.
I’ll let you determine how you feel about this to be fair.
Forms
Supreme
Supreme is the strongest of The Titans, originally unable to pilot The Titans, due to the presence of The End, once gone, Sage was able to pilot this Titan in the battle against The End. Supreme can fly, travel between CyberSpace and the real world, create drones that can shoot energy balls against its opponents, emit lasers that act as wings, summon A GIANT SCREW YOU GUN that can fire a stream of bullets.
Supreme can fight entities like The End, and can even negate Invulnerability, as seen in its battle with Super Sonic, and its ability to pierce The End, by throwing Super Sonic really, really, really hard.
Overall
Power
Was able to defeat and capture all of Sonic’s friends and keep them trapped in CyberSpace
Destroyed multiple Gun Ships
With Supreme, she could fight evenly alongside Super Sonic against his battle with The End, and could even pierce it
Durability
Speed
Cosmology
(Source for Cosmology)
The basic universe's, this includes:
Sonic’s Universe: The main universe where the vast majority of the games take place.
Silver’s Future: A literal hell on Earth, and the alternate timeline from which Silver comes from.
Sol Dimension: The dimension where Blaze and Marine reside. Blaze is referred to as a princess from another dimension.
The World of the Arabian Nights: A world made up the stories of the Arabian Nights, while it's hard to prove that all 1,001 Nights are their own separate universes, there exist a place within the Night Palace which transports you to a different space-time, so the Arabian Nights should at least consist of 2 universes.
The World of Camelot: A world inspired by Arthurian legends.
The Sequences of the Shadow the Hedgehog game: The many pathways to complete the Shadow the Hedgehog game which are saved by the game to view in the Library Option in Story Mode, there exist 326 in total.
Sleeping Egg Zone: A dream world created by Doctor Eggman.
Egg Reverie Zone: A dimension where time constantly shifts back and forth, even to points which don't exist.
Null Space: A dimension described as an endless void of nothingness.
Chaotic Inferno Zone: The homeworld of the Ifrit.
Cyber Space: A digital world created by the abstract feelings of the Ancients.
Cyberspace: Another digital world which appeared in Shadow the Hedgehog which relays information to and from Earth. There exists at least 2 Cyberspaces, the United Federation and the Eggman Empire.
Aqua Planet Zone’s dimension: The dimension where Aqua Planet Zone resides.
Flicky Dimension: The parallel dimension where the Flickies reside.
Special Stage Universe (Sonic Chaos): The universe where the Special Stages take residence in Sonic Chaos, differing to the other Special Stages, are all stated to reside in a single universe.
Stardust Speedway’s Bad Future: The dystopian future of Stardust Speedway.
Sonic Riders’ Digital Dimension
Shatterverse: The Shatterverse is a multiverse which was created by the good doctor playing Sonic into breaking the Paradox Prism there are stated to be a number of Shatterspaces (alternate realities birthed from the universe's split), but so far the only we know that exist are:
New Yoke City: A dystopian world which is ruled with an iron fist by the Chaos Council
No Place: A dimension which contain an endless expanse of ocean
Bozcage Maze: A dimension containing a thick jungle
The Grim: A dimension devoid of life and covered by a vast desert
Ghost Hill: The ghostly and corrupted remains of the original Green Hill
Egg Toy Land: A twisted toy world created by Eggman
Special Stages are where The Chaos Emeralds reside in a lot of the games, they are alternate realities, an example includes Fang's dimension. It is implied in Rush they are entered by dimensional distortions.
Outside of the 14 in 3&k, there are seven special stages in each game, multiply that by the number of games they feature (19), you get 140 dimensions.
Maginaryworld is where Illumina, the Forcejewels and the Precioustone reside. It is a dream world created from the dreams of people in other dimensions through the power of the Precioustone, and contains parts of everyone's dreams. Maginaryworld was almost plunged into darkness by Void when he shattered the perfected Precioustone into pieces.
Dreams and reality coexist in Maginaryworld, everyone's dreams exist separately, with Illumina manifesting in each of the quartet's dreams. We can assume that there exist as many dream worlds as beings who are capable of dreaming, with the Maginaryworld being stated to be the source of all dreams across all dimensions.
Why am I still talking about dreams, anyway dreams are shown to contain starry skies and nebulae and large celestial bodies. Visions of the past are considered as dreams. One example as supporting evidence of dreams being universe level in size is, Chao in Space animation, in which a Chao dreams of an interstellar battle in deep space.
In it we see numerous galaxies in the same manner that is shown in the dreams world located within the Maginaryworld. Wishes and Desires can become real in MaginaryWorld, like how Lumina states “Maginaryworld... The world where everyone's dreams come true... Precioustone... The crystalized essence of everyone's dreams... But... There are many different kinds of dreams. Ambition, Possession, Domination... These are dreams from the dark realm. Is that... Void?”
Any desire like The End's goal to "tear down the walls between dimension and consume all" have a place in MaginaryWorld.
Then we have the Dreamscape worlds where dreams can come true once a person is put to sleep by the Reverie. The Reverie artifact can make dream worlds become real, albeit only once a millennium, while Maginary is not directly mentioned it's still connected since Maginary is the source of all dreams, and more so, Ariem does state she has creators who enforces rules on her, likely referencing Illumina, who is the only other confirmed dreamweaver in the series, and Illumina possesses Void’s energy within itself; a being who is required for dreams to exist. The realm also has its own flow of time.
To wrap this section up, there is a 4th dimensional space where all dreams are stored and also Illumina's dream. It's also referred to as an "infinite 4-dimensional space”.
Other stuff:
The otherworld comedy story, advertisements mentioned how the final battle takes place in an "infinite super other-dimensional space". Null Space is confirmed to be infinite in size and an endless void.
White Space has no sort of time, Time Eater's lair (which is at the end of time) contains an infinite tunnel, which is reinforced as the end of time, still has a flow of time.
Crisis City is called a universe.
Should be mentioned that in episode four of TailsTube, our fox boy genius mentions that the multiverse contains endless possibilities and the possibility of infinite parallel Sonics existing and possibly confirming the existence of infinite universes. Ian Flynn also backs this up. Thus this remains a huge possibility tho.
(Shoutout to Ishi_Yuki once more when it comes to Cosmology)
Scaling
Metal Sonic
While they’ve never fought through scaling, especially through Supreme, Sage should scale to her older brother.
Sonic and Metal destroy a massive stalactite (200 Kilotons TNT)
Sonic
Sage should be able to scale to Sonic, especially with Supreme, who was able to exchange blows with Super Sonic and fight evenly with him.
Fought Dark GAIA in base form who broke open the planet and was much stronger (7.2 yottatons of TNT)
Sonic broke the chain link connected to Little Planet (3.282 teratons of TNT)
Defeated Master Core Abis, who could create black holes (6.5 FOE)
Sonic survived the explosion of the Paradox Prism, which shattered the universe (Debatable)
Fought Dark Gaia in base form, who broke open the planet and at the time was far more stronger (7.2 yottatons of TNT)
Sonic beat Alf Layla who was gonna rewrite reality and the world of The Arabian Nights, and recreated the Nights reality with a gesture of his hand
Sonic could match Erazor Djinn who absorbed half of The Arabian Nights and control The Night Palace, an infinite space with an astral plane
The Paradox Prism shattered the space-time continuum, forming a series of alternate realities, also creating and plunging Sonic into the Shatterverse, which has been described as a "completely new multiverse"
Sonic and Classic Sonic defeated Time Eater, Time Eater destroyed space-time on a scale encompassing all of reality and "all of space-time", destroys Classic Sonic's universe, and his battle with Sonic's extended across different dimensions
After being juiced on Prism energy, Sonic ran so fast that he high fived himself (Infinite)
Super Sonic and Dark Oak flew interstellar distances (104,315,128.86c)
Time Eater warping attacks ignore the laws of time and space, the time holes reach to different points in time, when the arms reach Sonic, they're in different points in time, and both Sonic's are quick enough to react to them
With Sage’s help, Sonic defeated The End, though in the true ending he could beat The End on his own
Sonic can run across The Night Palace, which is infinite in size
Super Level Threats
The End is stated to be Sonic's greatest adversary, infinite in comparison, and wanted to consume all
Solaris light could reach across the universe, and all other branching timelines (77 quadrillion c, could be more)
Solaris would consume all existing timelines and annihilate the meaning of time itself, turning everything into nothing, and was stated to be destroying all of space-time.This would include Maginaryworld, an infinite-sized 4-D spatial realm with a temporal component and countless dream worlds, as well as a multiverse with potentially infinite realities
Merlina the Dark Queen, was capable of warping all of space-time in the Camelot world and put the entire universe in cryostasis
Universal Base Sonic?
Credit to The Chaos Kyogre Blog for this section
In the beginning of Sonic Prime, Sonic seemingly survives the explosion from the Paradox Prism, which shattered the universe. He even takes it point black, and is fine after the explosion splits reality into five alternate universes. Arguments against this being, that it wasn’t an explosive force, but rather it manipulated space-time and reality.
One could argue that there are multiple pieces of meteorites and other possible elements that look like destroyed remnants of planets, after the Prism explodes. Visually there is the implication of an explosive outburst, characters do get launched when this occurs. Perhaps it could be a result stemming from an explosive force and space-time/reality manipulation, since it shattered the universe and created alternate dimensions with shattered/alternate versions of the cast.
Then again another argument is that this is simply an outlier. That this way above the Base Form Characters field of power, however, Sonic has defeated those like Erazor Djin, who could absorb the half of the Arabian Knights, and then there's Master Core, who could create black holes with infinite density.
Overall both sides have arguments, so ultimately I choose to leave this up to interpretation. Thanks again to the team behind Chaos vs Kyogre for this part.
Regarding Sage’s Hacking
So as you know, Sage could not hack into The Titans for the majority of the game, however this was due to The End’s presence, the moment The End retreated from Supreme she could take control of it fully.
You could argue there is a strength gap that kept her from controlling the other Titans because of Supreme, but Supreme is definitely stronger than Sage herself (it is the strongest Titan afterall), and once The End was gone she could control it no problem, on top of that, even with The Ends presence, Sage could still influence The Titans regardless of its presence. She could direct their rage towards Sonic.
Also, in regards to her calculations, I’ve heard arguments of Sage’s calculations having limits due to not foreseeing Sonic and Eggman teaming up being their best chance. But the funny thing is…she did, Eggman just rejected it cause he’s stubborn like that, especially when it comes to Sonic.
The other thing I’ve seen be brung up alot was Sonic repeated changes to her calculations when it comes to beating The End and Cyber Corruption for the first one, I mean, as said earlier “Tails states that the defensive forcefield and portal leading to Cyber Space produced by approaching the Starfall Islands, to defy the laws of the real world, manifesting logical disparities to the bottom of causality. Sage furthermore states that Sonic was attempting to transcend causality itself. “ Sonic is just built differently.
Secondly, The End is stated by Flynn to be "an unknowable, incomprehensible essence of malevolence and destruction seeking order across the universe". It is inevitable, continuing to exist even with the destruction of its current incarnation. The End is just built differently too.
Conclusion
And that’s it, that is everything I’ve got for Sage, first time doing this so I hope it turned out okay! Thanks for reading.
