Nicole vs Chichi
-William Congreve
Ah mothers, you can't live without them. This maybe a "man's world" but it wouldn't be nothing, nothing! Without a woman or girl, and mother's are the ultimate example of this. They clothe us, feed us, raise us, without receiving anything in return, they do it out of love, only asking that we live our live's in the standard that they raised us to be. However, sometimes we can get a little wild, and while our mother's try to settle us down peacefully, sometimes we go as far as to push our mother's to their absolute limit, unleashing a fury unrivaled and an anger that would even make Hulk and Broly seem like a mild temper.
Today's mother's are no exception, however, unlike the typical mother, these two take their fury to the next level, and considering the family they're apart of, it makes sense. It's time to find out in this Mother's Day special, which Mother of Fury will reach their Limit first in a DeathBattle!
Before we get started.....
Alright, so were just gonna stick with the show for Nicole, there are comics based off the series, however, the canonicity of those comic's is very debatable, so we're just sticking with the tv show.
Chichi on the other hand will be allowed equipment and feat's from the games she's appeared in, as long as they don't break the matchup giving her the win, and will only receive feats from the original manga and anime.
Doctor "Nicole" Watterson
"Actually, you know what? I wouldn't change a thing."
The town of Elmore, home to some of the most...well, let's say "interesting" people you might ever meet. Though it may seem like a normal city, everything in the city has the potential to come to life. Some of its residents include peanuts, dinosaurs, apes displaced by time, flowers, whatever the hell Principal Brown is, and a piece of toast...yeah shit get's weird here. However, this cities most infamous residents is none other than The Watterson's, fictions most dysfunctional family of all time. The Lazy but well meaning Patriarch, Richard, the scheming egotistical pessimist with a hidden heart of gold and the namesake of which the series is named after, Gumaball, The Pet Fish who grew legs and became an official child of the family, Darwin, and the incredibly smart youngest child, Anias. Each of them have the potential to cause mass chaos, though unintentionally, to the city. Thankfully, the matriarch of the family can use her immense strength and rage, to rein them in, yes we're talking about Nicole Watterson.
Nicole was raised in a very demanding and strict family. Her parents had high exceptions for her since birth, they literally named her Doctor, which is funny until someone starts choking and people start asking if their's a doctor in the house. Her parents made her sign up for many after school activities, at the same time, giving an A+ blood type instead of B-, and planning her entire life down to even whom she would marry. Despite her life literally being set up for success, Nicole was never truly happy, this would all change when she met a young rabbit boy trapped in log, Richard.
Richard would change her life forever, making her realize that she should live her life the way she wants to. A montage later, Nicole and Richard would have a family, a dysfunctional one, but a happy one. However, something that Nicole always struggled with, but intensified with age and having a family, was her rage. One that everyone from the town to her family fears, and sometime's even she can't control. Despite all that, Nicole is still a loving mother who wants the best for her family, and while she does work at a dead in job, that literally pays her in peanuts, she is ultimately (for the most part) happy. So you better not mess with this mother or her family, especially her children, because if you do, you'll find yourself under the fire of Kickbuttus Hystericus, and trust me, five minutes is all she needs.
Son Chichi
Son Goku, I'm sure you know that name, The Boy Left Alone, The Super Saiyan, The Hope of the Omniverse (lol). This hero has saved the world, no, the universe many times over. He's challenged armies, bandits, robots, androids, space tyrants, magician's, cosmic evils, and even god's. There is no man or women this protector of all thing's good fear's, well actually there is one person that even The Legendary Super Saiyan fears; his wife, Son ChiChi.
Born to the fearsome Ox King, King of Fire Mountain, Chichi was raised as its princess. As a child, ChiChi was very shy, sweet, and often thought about who she would marry, and despite her father's ferocity being legendary, young Chichi didn't seem to inherit that same fury, in fights she is often scared and defeats her opponent while crying. However, what she lacked in might she made up for in heart, as shown in her first encounter with Goku, Chichi could ride The Flying Nimbus, meaning that she was pure of heart. Speaking of Goku, she would meet him in his quest to receive The Bansho Fan, and it was love at first sight (or at least that's how Chichi will tell the story). By the end of the adventure, Goku would even promise to marry her one day, which elated the young girl. Many years would fly by, and Chichi would hone her martial arts skill to impress her future husband to be, and would later enter herself in a tournament that Goku was attending, going in as anonymous to surprise him. However, Goku would not know who she was, infuriating Chichi. And y'know how the story goes, they have a fight and in one hit she went down, they got married, Goku put a baby in her, and now she just stays at home, cooks him dinner, and raises their kids....y'know maybe that could have been phrased better. Despite all that, Chichi would finally get that family with Goku she always wanted.
Though it isn't all sunshine and rainbows, Goku is well....Goku, and Chichi really needs him to get a normal paying job, but y'know he's more interested in fighting the best and training, and this sometimes includes they're children Gohan and Goten, whom Chichi want's to get an education, and it's during these moments of trying to reign in her family where we finally see that indeed, Chichi inherited Ox King fury, one that surpasses him, and even leaves Goku, Gohan, Goten, and even Piccolo and Vegeta trembling. In fact, I do theorize that Gohan inherited his legendary temper from his mother, not his father, and in someways, his Beast Form came from her. Chichi is strict and demanding, but she truly loves her family and they love her, and if anyone messes with them, she'll rip their world a ####### sunder.
Equipment
Nicole
Cartax serves as the Wattersons' family vehicle, In "The Routine" it is revealed that Cartax is sentient and can communicate with Richard, albeit in whinnies as though it is a horse. Cartax is incredibly durable, having rammed and been rammed by other cars with no apparent damage, smashed through brick walls, fell from heights as high as the top of an office building, and even managing to transport the family underwater, though the car was flooded afterward.
In "The Bumpkin", Cartax is fitted with a satnav, which can map out crazy and dangerous routes. Richard uses the routes multiple times in order to reach destinations at record speed. The keys to Cartax are shown to be able to start any vehicle that starts with a key. Richard uses them in "The Return" to start a car, crane, and truck.
The Helmet
The Helmet from the titular episode, is a tinfoil hat that is seemingly supernatural and able to make anyone who wears it impossibly lucky and fortunate. The obsession towards the Helmet brought the Watterson family into conflict with each other, and because of this, they decided to get rid of the helmet by the end of the episode.
Paintball Gun
- Imagination Empowerment (Created and drove an invisible car)
- Breaking the Fourth Wall (Knew that her fighting moves were being censored. Noticed the subtitles beneath her. Before the episode abruptly ended in The Worst, Nicole ranted about how "women always get cut off in the middle of their sentences")
- Nicole is the breadwinner of the family and therefore she has strong influence over the show's state, even almost having got it canceled when she was temporarily bankrupt, which meant Gumball's whole world deteriorating and falling apart, glitching and decreasing in production quality until it was becoming worse than a storyboard)
- Enraged Assault – A series of strikes used by Possessed Chi-Chi (under Black Water Mist influence). Named in the Dragon Ball Z Collectible Card Game.
- Broom Brustle – A series of rapid strikes with a broom. Named in the Dragon Ball Z Collectible Card Game.

- Maiden's Excitement – One of Kid Chi-Chi's Blast 1 in Budokai Tenkaichi 3.

- Beam Ray (ビーム光線) - Kid Chi-Chi's Super Attack in Dragon Ball Heroes.
- No Forgiveness! – Chi-Chi's Super Attack in Dragon Ball Z: Dokkan Battle.
- Whirlwind Impact - Chi-Chi's Ultimate Attack in Dragon Ball Legends.
- Flames of Mt. Frypan - One of Chi-Chi's skills in Dragon Ball: The Breakers, which summons a wall of flames from Mt. Frypan.
(Render by RayLuisHDX2)
- Even without years of constant training, she defeated Yuki who was constantly training
- Raised Three Children and One Husband
- Reconciled with her parents
- Was able to keep The Rainbow Factory open and get the employees raises/a break
- Was one of the people who hurt The Console. The Console was capable of warping the entire universe into its game. This was backed up by Anais' own statement, and the starry background in Richard's attack. However, it should be noted that this is not out of destructive power.
- Beat the shit out of Mr. Rex, Tina father, Tina is a T-Rex and her father should be stronger than her, he's also bigger
- Moves so fast that the background is blurry
- Tanks Yuki Ki blast
- Landed the strongest man alive
- Raised a family full of Saiyans
- Finally got Goku to get a job
- Successfully got Gohan to become a scholar
- She did not "ruin" Gohan, he wanted to be a scholar, honestly she was really supporting his dreams when you think of it and it's not unreasonable to want your family to stay safe and become successful individual, all this to say I love Chichi, she reminds me of my own mom.
- Knocks the shit out of Krillin with her bag, as seen above
- Forced Goku in the 23rd Budokai to put in effort, making her comparable to, if not superior to King Chappa after three years of training, who Goku casually defeated
- Kept up with an extremely suppressed Goku during the 23rd Budokai, matching his superhuman speed as the two leapt into the air
- The air pressure from Goku's punch sends her flying into a wall, though she's fine just a little hurt
- Gokus sends her flying into the air after recovering from his virus, she lands back in his arms
(Goku really hits Chichi a lot, maybe Jimmy Firecracker was right)
- Gumball has tanked Darwin's longest, most powerful sneeze, with weaker sneezes casually generating this much energy. Survived a fire blast from Penny that scorched part of a forest at point-blank range. Wasn't bothered by a meteor impact.
- Gumball has accidentally cracked Penny's shell, which can tank lightning
- When Gumball summoned Richard in the fight against The Console, he grows planet sized(Planet Level if you buy that this is standard for Richard)
- When getting a job, Richard could rip apart the fabric of the universe, including causing distortions in time (Debatable will explain later)
- Anais shook her house multiple times with her kicks. Split a school bus in half just by walking into it
- Kid Goku can smash apart wood, crush boulders in his hands, destroy cars, and in chapter 3 he one-shotted a large bear
- By focusing almost all of his Ki into a single blast, Tien can produce an extremely destructive blast which Roshi claims is more powerful than the Kamehameha(Moon Level)
Hi guys! Ivan*kirbo here, and here's who I think wins between Nicole from Gumball and Chichi from Dragon Ball!
Strength and Durability:
First things first, who punches the best? Both of these moms scale very weirdly so it'll be very hard to choose what I believe is right. Let's start with Nicole. Nicole should be able to upscale to most, if not all of the main cast, which includes Gumball and Darwin. Gumball and Darwin survived the Big Bang! But let's examine that feat a bit closer. The Big Bang they survived appeared to be from very far away. Since Gumball and Darwin were at the spot of Earth's birth, we'll have to calculate from there. Please correct me if I messed up here, but I heard people say this was a Moon-Planet level feat. And if we use Richard becoming the size of a planet (I know this was in the game only, but I believe this was more likely toon-force scaling, rather than the game itself making Richard become planet level), Nicole should be around planet level! Now for Chichi. I don't believe she scales to main Goku at ALL. Most of these seem like Goku is either holding back or the result of a joke that doesn't affect scaling. And the same goes for the rest of the cast. Honestly, I don't even buy her scaling to anything in Z! She survived a punch from Super Saiyan Goten, sure, but Goten had just turned Super Saiyan! And he wasn't actively trying to injure his own mother! With all that said, I 100% buy Chichi scaling to the original Dragon Ball cast, because of her spar with Goku in the 23rd tournament of power. Making her around Moon level. And since both of these two can take their own attacks, I do think they have the same Durability as their respective strengths. So planet level to Moon level. That means Nicole wins this round! But these levels were hard to figure out! It could easily go to Chichi! But my gut feeling says Nicole takes this. Now, let's move on to speed, shall we?
Speed:
Both of these two are extremely fast, enough to dodge lightning! But Nicole can scale to Gumball, who scales to Bobert in terms of speed. Bobert can kick a ball to the Sun in only a few seconds! Making Nicole MFTL! Nothing in the original Dragon Ball can keep up with that speed! Speed, easily goes to Nicole.
Abilities and hax:
Now this one, I believe Nicole should take. Her toon force is just busted, and she can do way more than whatever Chichi can throw out. And that instant ageing glare too is an insta-kill! I have to give this to Nicole.
IQ, experience, and skill:
The final round! This one is a bit tricky to decide! In terms of IQ, both aren't the dumbest, yet aren't the brightest either. But I would say Nicole is slightly smarter, due to being a bit more controlled and willing to make a plan. In terms of skill, I gotta say it's a tie. Both of them are master martial artists. Chichi being able to train Goten to the point where even Gohan got impressed and Nicole training since her days of youth in martial arts. In terms of experience now, I think Nicole has got this one! Nicole has just been training for much longer and has actually strived to fight before, unlike Chichi.
Verdict:
And there you go! While I may have not made this fight seem close, it actually was rather quite hard to find the verdict! Sure, I buy Nicole being much faster and having better hax, which could give her the win, then and there. But Gumball scaling is tricky. And Chichi could have certainly won, if I bought her scaling higher! But overall, I think Nicole has the experience, tenacity, speed, and hax to win this fight! Thanks for letting me do this! This sure was fun!
