Goten vs K.O (Dragon Ball vs OK K.O)

Goten vs K.O

When I approach a child, he inspires in me two sentiments — tenderness for what he is and respect for what he may become.

-Louis Pasteur

Son GotenGoku's youngest son and West City Saiyaman X-2 of Dragon Ball

Kaio Kincaid, son of  Carol Kincaid and Lakewood Plaza number 1 Brushead of Ok K.O

Children are life greatest imitators, so it's important that they grow up imitating someone great, cause when they do, it inspire's them to become just as great as the people whom they admire. They can become a force for good, however, they have a lot of growing up to do, which can sometimes lead them into dangerous situations.

These two adorable inspired child hero's are no exception to the rule, and while their eagerness can lead them into trouble, their willingness to accept help from friends and those more experienced, alongside their own great power will get them through any enemy that comes their way, but only one can come out on top. It's time to find out which hero has the power to win in a DEATH BATTLE!

Before we get started....

This one will be pretty simple, for Goten will be sticking with the Dragon Ball Z manga and anime, alongside Super's anime and manga for feats.  For K.O, we'll only pull from feats from the show, and their's more to be said about canon in OK K.O, but we'll save that for later. Also shoutout to the vsbw Ok K.O team for the research into feats and abilities for K.O.

Background

Son Goten

The Cell Games, a tournament against the monstrous bio-android Cell, for the sake of the world had come to an end. Son Gohan, would rise to the occasion to defeat this great evil, but not without sacrifice. His father, The Legendary Hero, Son Goku, would die giving his life to save the world. However, a part of himself would live on, not just in his young son Gohan, but in a soon to be born son, a boy named...Son Goten. Young Goten was born as the very spitting image of his father, not just in appearance but also in his personality. A happy go lucky kid with the same naivety and purity that his father once held. Like his father before him, Goten was extremely gifted and powerful, at the young age of seven, Goten would become the youngest Saiyan to become a Super Saiyan. Eventually, Goku would be granted 24 hours to be on Earth, and Goten would meet his father for the first time immediately hitting it off and becoming close. Alongside his best friend Trunks, Goten would participate in a martial arts tournament and help in the battle against Majin Buu.

Goten would continue to further in his studies and training, going to high school, becoming a superhero alongside Trunks, helping in the fight against Cell Max, and even training on Lord Beerus planet, while still keeping his up beat personality, he really is his father's son, though a lot smarter. Goten still has some growing to do, but this Super Saiyan has the potential to go even father beyond.

Kaio Kincaid

The year is 201x, a retro futuristic world inhabited by many powrful and quirky characters, and in this future world the age of hero's is thriving, especially in the city of Maryland, which houses the famed Lakewood Plaza Turbo, a hero supply shop owned by the legendary hero, Mr Gar. Just across the street is home to the Boxmore, lead by the maniacal scientist, Lord Boxman, who sends his robot children to attack the Plaza pretty much everyday. Thankfully, The Plaza is protected by three young hero's, Gar's employee's. There's Enid, the cool ninja teen who secretly struggles with her identity, Radicles, the muscle bound jock who acts super tough but has soft side that he's afraid to show, and last but certainly not least, Lakewood Plaza number one adorably head strong brush head, Kaio Kincaid! Better known as K.O.  K.O is the son of resident Fitness Trainer, Carol Kincaid who was once a part of a superhero team alongside Gar, P.O.I.N.T. There Carol fell in love with the hero Laserblast, however in a mission to destroy enemy research Laser was lost. P.O.I.N.T would never be the same. However, Laserblast legacy would live on as Carol would give birth to their son K.O.

K.O was a happy little kid, with dreams to become a hero, and he would start his journey as being an employee at Gars Bodega. During his time, K.O upbeat attitude and lovable personality would inspire change in the lives of his fellow friends and cowokers, like inspiring Rad to be open with his flaws and love for "soft things" like cats, Enid to not be afraid of her identity, even helping Mr. Gar overcome his fears and shame of his past at P.O.I.N.T, becoming friends and even eventually marrying K.O's mom becoming his Step Father. And in turn, when K.O was struggling with his own identity due to his darker half, T.K.O and who he was, especially when finding out his father survived and became a big named villain, his friends helped pull him from his own darkness, and K.O accepted that he and T.K.O were one, becoming M.K.O. K.O had a lot of growing up to do, but he found a way to make the best of every situation handed to him, and he achieved what he always wanted to be, a Hero!

Equipment

Goten

Flying Nimbus

Before learning how to fly, Goten was forced to use his father's Flying Nimbus which Gohan had inherited after their father's death and later passed it down to Goten. However, Goten eventually stopped using it after learning flight from Gohan. Years later, Goten would use Nimbus again while in high school like Gohan use too.

Saiyaman X-2 Suit

Inspired by his older brother, Gohan, Goten and Trunks would take on the mantle of Saiyaman from Gohan and Videl, Goten becoming Sayiaman X-2. With his watch, Goten takes on a suit consisting of gray armor, gloves, and boots, a cyan bodysuit and red cape similar to the Great Saiyaman's. Trunks' suit is similar to Goten's but with an inverted color scheme and a red scarf.

Heart Ring

Gained in the OK K.O x Captain Planet crossover, The Heart Ring is one of the five magic rings created by Gaia to help defend the planet. According to Gaia, the Heart Ring is the most important of all of the rings.  The Heart Ring gives its holder the abilities of telepathy and empathy to a limited degree. Despite being the least offensively capable magic ring, it makes up for this by having a plethora of uses. It can be used to communicate with Gaia and the holders of the other 4 magic rings as long as they're all conscious. It's capable of delivering mass warning messages to nearby citizens, be used to locate any magic ring that is separated from its owner or any person that's close to a ring holder. It can sense the presence of any animal, summon them for help and read their thoughts if they need help. It can influence the decisions of people and animals. Inside the human body, it can summon antibodies to heal and also recharge the other rings. The Heart Ring can illuminate dark areas, expose the true identity of disguised persons and makes the owner immune to mind control. Used effectively Heart is the strongest, most powerful ring however Ma-Ti is so kind-hearted he doesn't use it to its full extent which is why Gaia gave it to him.

Like the other rings, the Heart Ring will not activate if: Captain Planet has been summoned, the ring has come in contact with pollution, or the pollution level in the area is high.

It can not communicate with other ring holders if that holder is unconscious or if an Eco-Villain is in the presence of that holder. It has no effect on inanimate objects, artificial animals, organisms with no heart, organisms not native to Earth, or extremely evil humans such as the Eco-Villains. It also will not tame extremely frightened or agitated animals.

K.O. uses the power of Heart to bring everyone back to their senses.

Pow Cards

Pow Card is a collectible card that is renown amongst heroes and villains in the OK K.O. universe. Each hero and villain gets their own Pow Card which details their respective power level and stats. K.O is an avid collector of Pow Cards, he even has Pow Cards of Captain Planet, Garnet, and even Sonic The Hedgehog. At the start of the series K.O starts with a Power Level of 0 but at the end of the series he has a Power Level of 100.

Forms

Goten

Super Saiyan

The form born from a pure heart awakened by fury, Goten currently holds the title as the youngest Saiyan to unlock the Super Saiyan form, at a mere seven years old! (Probably cause Goku was a Super Saiyan when he and Chichi conceived Goten). It was stated by Akira Toriyama that when he was writing the manga the form was meant to be 10x what Goku had previously accomplished, and one non-English guide also acknowledged it as being a 10x boost, in Daizenshuu 7 the form is said to multiply the Saiyan's power level by 50x its normal amount, which Toriyama considers to be an exaggeration.

Gotenks

Gotenks is the Metamoranfusion of Goten and Trunks, and the first successful Fusion formed from the dance (though nowadays they can't seem to get it right). Gotenks is an arrogant yet powerful warrior with a flair for the dramatic. He is often used as Goten and Trunks' final trump card.
K.O

T.K.O

Turbo K.O., or T.K.O. for short, was a manifestation of K.O.'s negative emotions and feelings of powerlessness. T.K.O.'s power is linked directly to K.O anger, something Shadowy Figure hypothesized and T.K.O. later confirmed as he tried to attack Enid: as he chased her his power, strength, and speed appeared to increase. He has been the reason for the Pow Card glitch. It is possible that it was T.K.O who had a power level of 100.

P.K.O

Perfect K.O or P.K.O for short, is the result of K.O.and T.K.O. sharing control over K.O.'s body. They do this via a device created inside of K.O.'s mind, based off of a movie he watched, the device connects both K.O. and T.K.O. and synchronize their movements into one. P.K.O. possesses all of the powers that his components have, though the color of his energy is yellow, instead of purple or blue.

Metal K.O

A form K.O takes on after being roboticized by Bowman in a crossover with a familiar blue hedgehog you may know and love.

M.K.O

Merged K.O or M.K.O is K.O final state, and his current form that came from K.O and T.K.O realizing that they are one and the same, becoming one whole person.

Abilities

Goten

Flight

Through manipulating Ki, Goten can fly like a birdie, took awhile for him to learn this but once he got it down he became a natural.

Ki Blast

The most basic form of energy wave.

Ki Sense

An ability that allows the user to sense ki and power levels.

Stone Bullet

The user throws a rock that can only be used in point-blank range.

Kamehameha

A powerful Ki blast fired with two hands after concentrating a large amount of Ki.

Super Kamehameha

An advanced and more powerful version of the Kamehameha, When Goten uses this attack, he shouts, "How'd you like this?" or "Now I'm mad!". He then charges the attack like a regular Kamehameha and releases it, dealing significant damage to his opponent.

Family Kamehameha

The most badass Kamehameha that has ever been fired, first seen in Broly Second Coming, Goten alongside his father and brother fire a combined Kamehameha, overpowering the opponent and inflicting a huge amount of damage.

Other Minuscule abilities:

  • Assault! – First, Goten charges at the opponent and punches them away. Then, he flies up into the air and charges down at the opponent head-first at top speed. When the opponent dodges, Goten blasts the ground with an energy sphere to propel himself towards the opponent's direction to knock them away with a headbutt, using his falling speed to inflict severe damage.
  • Full Power Energy Blast Volley – The user fires flurries of large, bright Ki Blasts that is more powerful than the average energy volley. It is useful for quick, effective, as well as causing massive accumulations of damage to the foes. The difference with the Full Power Energy Barrage Wave is that the user does not move his hands while firing it. The waves themselves just chase the opponent.
  • High Tension Turn - The user performs a backflip then suddenly charges forward to deliver a charging punch.
  • Taunt - A user performing some form of gesture, remark, or insult to annoy or enrage their opponent and throw off their thinking.
  • Fighting Pose - Poses used while as Saiyaman X-2.
  • Cyclone Style! Tornado Hurricane - The user spins their arm around with great speed to create a small twister around their wrist. They then punch their opponent in the face with the twister, creating a tornado and sending them and anyone close to them flying.
    • Cyclone Style! Tornado Double Hurricane - A team attack used by Trunks and Goten as Super Saiyans.
    • Cyclone Style! Tornado Super Hurricane - A team attack used by Goten, Trunks, Gamma 1, and Gamma 2.
  • Tri-Beam - The user forms a vaguely diamond-shape "tunnel" with the hand's by keeping the fingers on each hand together, overlapping the index finger on the one hand with the pinky of the other hand, and overlapping the thumbs. The object being focused on gets zoomed in on and visualized inside that diamond, then he shouts "Tri-Beam, ha!" while releasing the large yellow beam from the hands.
  • Steam Cleaner High Pressure - The user forms a tornado like energy sphere in their hands before firing it into a wave of energy.
  • Down-Cycle Kick - A downward kick used by Goten as Saiyaman X-2.
  • Super Goten Strike – To perform the attack, Goten raises his hands in the air and charges white-colored energy on them. Then, he releases the energy in a form of a giant, white energy sphere and hurls it towards his enemy, inflicting a huge amount of damage.
  • Super Explosive Wave – The user stands charging energy around their body, then they explode with a gigantic energy sphere around their body. If the foe comes in contact with the Super Explosive Wave, it will deal much greater damage than the normal Explosive Wave. It can also be used for defense and offense at the very same time. The larger the user or the more ki they have, the wider and more enhanced it will become.
  • Unnamed combo attack with Gohan - Gohan and Goten circle around their opponent at rapid speeds, creating a wall of red to trap them, they then bombarde their opponent with sharp energy blasts, who will have difficulty hitting them back to them becoming undetectable. Used against Vegeta in Dragon Ball GT whilst they were under the control of Baby and a Tuffle parasite.
  • Twin Galactic Kick – A combined downward kick used in conjunction with Trunks.
  • Persuasion - A user of persuasion is incredibly persuasive and are able to bring anyone to understand and feel for their viewpoint and can convince others of virtually anything.
  • Power Knee – Flies forward and smacks the opponent with his knee and if successful, he will follow up with a high kick. Used in Dragon Ball Z: Super Butōden 3.
  • Rolling Thunder Punch – Goten twirls his arm around for a second, then does a big uppercut. Used in Super Butōden 3, where it is called Super Uppercut.
  • Response Rush – His Meteor Attack in Super Butōden 3. Goten grabs his opponent and throws them in the air, then he punches and kicks them, punches them and then knocks them down to the ground with a headbutt.

K.O

Power Fist

K.O.'s special move, consists of a powerful energy punch surrounded by blue flames which are delivered from one of his fists. After controlling T.K.O, he gains the ability to release purple Power-Fists, which seem to be more powerful, and easier to fire.

Rapid Power Fist

K.O can fire multiple rapid fired Power Fist.

Time Slow

Though he has not used it in a fight, it has been shown that K.O. Is able to slow his perception of time and move faster than everyone around him. He has only shown this once in order to save his mother however, and it is unknown whether he can control it on whim.

Flight

Pretty simple, K.O can fly.

Disempower Dome/Blast

T.K.O. can create a dome-shaped field of energy that has the power to enervate its victims and nullify their powers and in "Let's Fight to the End", he used it to reset everyone's Power level, he can also fire blast that give off the same result.

Spin Dash

The most iconic move of Sonic The Hedgehog, by curling into a ball, the user then starts charging up the Spin Dash from a stationary position by spinning rapidly on the spot and gaining potential energy before taking off into a high-speed rolling attack, dealing incredible damage to whatever they collide with. The move can be used for both attacking foes and simply travelling at high speeds. K.O had a bit of trouble learning this move, but with the help of Tails, K.O mastered the ability being able to get past a loop de loop. Fun fact, Tails being the one to teach K.O the Spin Dash instead of Sonic makes perfect sense, Tails was the one who invented the iconic technique!

Light Speed Dash

Used in his Metal K.O form, when in front a trail of rings, it allows the user to travel along a trail of rings at light speed, even in mid-air, which can allow access to new areas or by means the only solution to pass through certain sections.

    Fourth Wall Awareness

The President Of The Universe imbued the world with the power of Glorbs, a powerful energy as he describes, it why everyone has powers and cartoon physics, and K.O has absorbed a lot of Glorbs as T.K.O. He can do things like:

Other abilities:

Experience and Intelligence

Goten

Goten is an incredibly gifted fighter, he's been trained in martial arts ever since he was a kid, by his mother Chichi, and even received training from Gohan, Goku, and Piccolo. Not only that Goten is so gifted that he achieved Super Saiyan at a mere seven years old, on accident. Recently he went to Beerus's planet and got some training in, having spared with his father, brother, Trunks, Vegeta, and Broly. He's also now a crime fighter too, alongside Trunks having fought various criminals and androids, including Cell Max. He's also incredibly smart, having been pounded into studying by Chichi, like his brother before him, though not on the same level as Gohan.

K.O

K.O like wise has been trained since childhood by his mother as well, and has been surrounded  by hero's his entire life. He's kicked tons of robot butt alongside Enid and Rad, and even monsters as well. He was a leader of a resistance army against P.O.N.T, and beat Boxman Jr., a robot that Boxman had incorporated days worth of ingenuity into and was able to defeat his mother and Mr. Gar. He's beaten villains and hero's with years more experience over him, and while K.O is not the smartest kid in the shop, he's not dumb, he can actually come up with genuinely brilliant strategies against his foes.

Weaknesses

Goten

Goten doesn't have any specific weakness, he is naive, has been prone to jump into danger without thinking things through, and I guess you could say he's somewhat sensitive, but that more so applies to Kid Goten than the present Teen Goten. So no real weakness besides the fact that Saiyan's like humans can't breathe in space.

K.O

K.O also has no game changing weaknesses, originally he required T.K.O. to be in agreement in order to control his power, but since merging with T.K.O fully becoming one as M.K.O, M.K.O no longer has this issues and can use his power effectively now that he's accepted himself completely, also negating his previous self-doubt issues and sensitivity (well for the most part), and he appears to be fully confident in himself and his abilities as an adult, which makes sense, since M.K.O is now at LVL 100 and is the number 1 hero. So uhhhh....I guess he's allergic to peanuts, so you can beat him if you have that.

Wait are the OK K.O crossovers Canon?

OK K.O is famous for many things, one of them being is their crossovers. These include Captain Planet, Steven Universe, Ben 10, Teen Titans Go!, almost all of CN's shows from the Crossover Nexus episodes, and most importantly Sonic The Hedgehog! But are they canon to OK K.O? Yes actually in fact Crossover Nexus itself was confirmed to be canon to the Ben 10 reboot universe, and Garnet reappeared in the final episode of the series in a battle to save the multiversewhich OK K.O is confirmed to have. This would include other well known CN shows like Teen Titans, Power Puff Girls, KND, Gumball, Adventure Time, and Regular Show amongst numerous others. This was also confirmed by Ian JQ, the creator of OK K.O, whose also worked on shows like Steven Universe, fun fact he's Rebecca Sugar (Steven's Universe creator) husband, so he knows his stuff.

But here's the big one, what about Sonic? It's weird, the episode is confirmed canon, and Ian did say that all alternate worlds are canon, even one where K.O fights the chicken from Family Guy lol. But like their are tons of references to a bunch of the Sonic media, including SA2, Sonic and Mario games (Sonic beat Mario at the olympics it was confirmed Sonic beats Mario), AOSTH, and even Archie Sonic. Heck Ian later drew a picture in the style of OK K.O of Sonic and Sally (based btw).

But what does this mean for this blog, in specifics, in terms of scaling? I honestly don't know, I've never really encountered something like this, especially when it comes for Sonic. So, here's what I'll do, I'll do two separate scaling sections for K.O. One from just strictly his series, and one with potential crossover scaling that I think is fair, for example since all of the Sonic games up to Lost World are canon to Archie, I'll only include feats for Base Sonic only. Whether you choose to accept those potential scaling is up to you. I will say this, the only character I feel really confident in K.O scaling to is Garnet, you'll see why.

ZMusok

My first time writing a verdict for a blog and I want to thank SonallyKingKataang for having me on board. So, now let us look at the match-up:

In regards of skill and abilities K.O. seems to have the upper hand. While Goten can use KI in a variety of ways, K.O. simply has more abilities. Like his Disempower Dome/Blast, which is a good counter against Goten’s Super Saiyan form, since it either nullifies Goten’s power or force him to return into his base form. Or the Invisi-Juice, which turns him invisible.

Yet, Goten seems to hold a counter against nearly all of these advantages. For example, his Stone Bullet should be more than capable enough to deal with the Disempower Dome, since the stone itself isn’t empowered. Or how he can use his Ki-Sense to find K.O. should he use the Inivisi-Juice.

Which leaves K.O. with one other field of abilities that need to be checked: His toon force.

Unlike characters like Bugs Bunny, the toon-force of Kaio is rather tame. Hammer space, fourth wall interaction and transformation. As far as I see it, the basics wouldn’t really help him much here.

But there are still two skills in this category that are very important:

1. Regeneration: Kaio has regenerated from being a puddle before. As such, Goten will have to work hard, to put him down. It is possible that K.O. can walk off any stray hit that he takes, which will make a drawn-out fight dangerous for Goten. The only way around this ability seems to be a complete disintegration. Which Goten might pull of via a direct hit with a Kamehameha, but then he also needs enough strength and speed to perform such a task. More about the stats later.

2. Teleportation: This one is very dangerous. If K.O. teleports Goten into space, then the young son of Son Goku is pretty much done for. It has been established that Saiyan’s can’t breathe in space. And with no access to Instant Transmission, all K.O. needs to do is teleport either Goten alone or both Goten and himself into a place with no planets around and let his opponent suffocate to death, since unlike Goten, Kaio can breathe in space just fine. And since K.O. only snapped his fingers to teleport and didn’t touch Barista Pup in any way, there doesn’t seem any way for Goten to defend against this. Which would lead to the question: Can K.O. survive long enough to try this trick?

And yeah, this brings me to the last sector of my review: the stat trinity. Can Kaio keep the lead he got from the ability section?

Unfortunately for him: No.

And even worse: The stat difference is massive.

Strength wise, the highest possible attack potency that K.O. can get without scaling to other series via crossover scaling is the lower end of solar system level with a high end of 136 x 10^30 tons of TNT power output for splitting the sun. Son Goten on the other hand should at least scale to Cell’s solar system level Kamehameha, which has been calced on VS Battle wiki to an estimate power output of 849 x 10^33 tons of TNT. Meaning that Goten is at least 6000 times stronger than K.O. as a low end. Since he has kept up with later foes like Cell Max (I really like to bring up Cell), who himself kept up with fighters like Piccolo and Son Gohan, Goten definitely scales even higher.

Speed-wise it is a similar situation. Scaling wise without scaling to other series, K.O. caps at 2x FTL with a perception time of 12x FTL. Son Goten on the other hand would downscale from his father in Super. And you all know the infamous shockwave calc. This shockwave reaches speed up to 118x10^21 FTL, meaning that even if we assume that Son Goten is thousands of times weaker than Goku, he would still out-speed Kaio.

If we only look at their own respective series, then the outcome would be clear now. While K.O. has a wider array of abilities and a potential winning condition via teleportation, Son Goten simply blitzes and one-shots him, the difference in power simply being to overwhelming for anything in Kaio’s arsenal to really matter.

Which leads to the final question: What about crossover scaling? Does this save Kaio?

Speed wise it might close the gap to some extent, since Kaio would scale to a speed feat that reaches 5.8 x 10^12 times FTL. Yet, it still pales compared to the shockwave feat.

And strength wise: Again, not really. Since the episode “Crossover Nexus” only features Reboot Ben 10, it shouldn’t be possible to scale Kaio to anything that happens in the original series. Which also means, that I won’t scale him to Alien X recreating the universe. And from what I could gather from the other shows that appear in this episode, I couldn’t find any feat that could bring Kaio up to the level of Goten. And while comic book Raven would turn the battle into Kaio’s favour, I don’t think we can scale her Teen Titans incarnation to her comic book self. Meaning that high end DC scaling is out for me.

So, what about Sonic-scaling then?

Here is my problem with this scaling: while it has been stated that the crossover with Sonic is canon, I wouldn’t scale Kaio to Archie Sonic in any way. While Archie Sonic has the feats to bring Kaio to victory, the power difference between the two verses is simply way too large to scale him to Sonic’s high-end feats without putting the events of K.O. series into question. As such, I can’t scale K.O. to Sonic with a good conscience.

And now we are finally at the end: Kaio put of a fight and his abilities might have caught Son Gohan off guard, but against the overwhelming might and the massive speed advantage of the young half-Saiyan it simply wasn’t enough.

My vote goes to Son Goten.

Supermonye

What's up guys, Supermonye here, and today, Goten vs KO *(A character I also wanna do a blog for)* is here. OK K.O. is a show that I really liked when it aired, and I'm the only person I know who considers Goten part of their top 5 Dragon Ball characters. Now how does one go about a matchup like this?

I guess we can start with experience. K.O. is pretty decent, what with being surrounded by other crime fighters since he was born. Realistically, K.O. should know how to deal with more varied opponents than Goten, considering just how much more he knows about them. In terms of stuff like fighting, however, Goten has arguably been trained by more powerful, more skilled fighters and has even been trained by masters like Goku and Broly. Coupled with the fact that Goten is probably just smarter in general, not to discredit K.O.'s own intelligence of course.

We can now move on to the most interesting part here. Hax! And I'm not gonna sugarcoat it, K.O. takes this one. In terms of a powerset, Goten has a pretty basic Dragon Ball list here. While they are of course extremely useful (And Stone Bullet), K.O. has just, so much more. For one thing, he simply counters his flight with his own, can casually interact with the 4th wall, and even stuff like teleportation and his regeneration gives him quite the mountain to climb. K.O. takes abilities by being able to counter Goten's while dishing back stuff he hasn't faced off against. That is what I would say if he didn't literally fight people with those abilities. Goten has fought foes who can teleport, fought foes who can regenerate and realistically shouldn't be affected by K.O.'s ability to change his clothes or shapeshift against him. His experience comes into clutch here. To summarize this section, while K.O. has arguably better abilities and stronger counters, Goten has fought people with similar abilities and should know how to work his way around them.

However, I'd still go ahead and give hax to K.O., due to his attack reflection just being so overtly powerful against a guy whose best abilities are all ranged.

Finally, Stats.
First of all, crossover scaling WILL be given to K.O. from me. For CN however. The Sonic stuff is cool and all, but I'm really unsure about using it in this matchup. That being said, even if we include it, Goten would still take it. In terms of Attack Potency, Goten pretty reliably gets to at least Solar System, while then can be considered K.O's absolute peak. Bringing in the universal stuff from Cell Max doesn't make things any better.

Speed-wise, Goten is still way ahead of K.O., as while he scales to Trillions of times faster than light at his peak, Goten is scaling to fighters who can move at least Quadrillions. Combined with the fact that Super Saiyan should just buff up all on his stats by 10, K.O. is fighting against a foe just, considerably faster and stronger than him.

In conclusion, while K.O. does have the advantage of fighting for varied foes and possessing more varied abilities, Goten pretty much bulldozes him due to superior stats, training and intelligence. ***K.O's about to be KOED by Son Goten!***

Felow

It's my first time on one of these Blogs.

Let's analyze what we have at hand.

In the AP and Durability section:
K.O can be from Small Star to Solar System or more, scaled with Sonic stuff and the destruction of the sun.

For his part, Goten surpasses the feat of King Vegeta and, from a young age, he was able to match Gohan SSJ in the Buu saga. The Daizenshuu confirm that Buu by killing Vegeta and defeating Gohan left Goten and Trunks as stronger than the earth. Placing him above Piccolo who 7 years earlier in the cell games was stronger than Super Vegeta who fought with Semi-Perfect Cell and fought alongside a Cell Jr who was stronger than Vegeta who had become stronger by training. . Something that we see Goten and Trunks respect, being able to fight several Cell Jrs at the same time.

In SuperHero he was able alongside Trunks to fight Cell Max and make him twist. And later he was able to fight Gohan a bit on Beerus' planet. Which would finish giving my point to Goten in this section.

In the Speed section:

K.O has a Amazing Speed feat and later, equal to Garnet, he has Speed feats of 5.8 Trillion!
For his part, Goten base far surpasses Goku's feat on his Ship on the way to Namek. Which gives 8 trillion!

Although, both are very close. We must also remember that Goten has become stronger since that feat and has the ssj. So even if K.O with his forms will increase his speed stats, Goten would still end up surpassing him and taking the point in speed anyway.

Skill and Hax:
Goten has a greater number of abilities, some of which you could easily overwhelm due to the large number they are. But K.O is the one who has the greatest amount of Hax, very interesting and bizarre. Which is a point each.

IQ and Experience:

Goten has proven to be quite attentive, coming up with super deductions in the manga and being capable enough to help Trunks when his suit had failed for a moment. K.O, on the other hand, is not stupid, he is very capable of reaching conclusions... although he sometimes overthinks the situation, he matures and really comes to think of ways to defeat his enemies that require a good intellect. He would say that both would be tied on this point, as neither has proven to be completely superior to the other.

Regarding Experience. Goten should take this point, although K.O has fought against several characters in the square, villains and even his friends. The things he has ended up facing Goten far surpass any K.O battle and end up giving this point to Son Goten.

Verdict:

Well, it was fun to be able to analyze this. Although K.O had very strong stats and has very crazy Hax that could surprise almost anyone, I see Goten winning this matchup, he has more AP and greater speed that would end up surpassing anything K.O has, Goten has a way to overwhelm K.O. with his attacks allowing him to advance to an easier victory. And although both become comparable in intelligence, Goten has better experience that would end up surpassing him and giving Goten the victory.

Thank you very much for letting me participate!

Ivan*Kirbo

Hello there! Ivan*kirbo here! Today, we have an interesting matchup! Goten from Dragon Ball vs K.O from OK K.O Let's Be Heroes! While I do prefer Kid (from Kid Cosmic, a show I highly recommend you to watch) for K.O, partially due to bias and it being my sixth most wanted of all time, I will gladly debate for this matchup! Here are my thoughts!

Strength and durability:

This one's a doozy. Let's get one thing out of the way. I DO NOT BUY K.O SCALING TO SONIC, LET ALONE ARCHIE SONIC. Sure, the Sonic K.O met clearly seems to recall adventures from the past like the classics, Mario and Sonic at the Olympics, and the Adventure games, but that only means so much. There is an infinite Sonic multiverse with infinite possibilities. Who knows if this Sonic is just another alternate variation! The fact that he experienced all those different events, some of them being non-canon, future adds to this. With that out of the way, I do believe he scales to some of the cartoon characters he met in the nexus crossover. I don't buy him scaling to characters like Ben 10 or Raven, but characters like Garnet I definitely buy him scaling to, seeing as she was in the finale of the show. Seeing as Garnet could survive a planet sized Black Hole, this should make K.O planet-star level. You may be asking, "what about the time K.O sliced the Sun?" Well, there are two things making me find this feat a bit iffy. Number 1: K.O had to absorb a huge amount of glorb energy to accomplish this. The entire Earth's Glorb energy! Something he wouldn't really do in a fight. And number 2: The president of the universe reset everything at the end of the episode, meaning K.O can't really get this power boost again. So after all of this, I buy planet-star level K.O! As for Goten, he has a much trickier level of power to find. He's able to compete with huge heavy hitters like Beast Gohan! But that was only when he was with Trunks or had combined into Gotenks, both requiring outside help... But we do know at least that Goten can scale to base Goku, seeing as he could injure Cell Max without going super! Cell Max was stated to be even stronger than Goku or Vegeta! I do not believe base Gohan is the same strength as Ultra Instinct Goku, but scaling him to base Goku is fair enough. With that said, Goku by the end of super, is as strong as the multiversal feat he did in the battle of the gods movie. This makes Goten at least multiversal, due to scaling to base Goku. Couple that with his super saiyan transformation, and I do believe that Goten is multiversal! This is also backed up with Goten now being stronger than Super Buu, who was called a threat to the entire dragon ball universe numerous times! Now, time to compare! Let's see... Planet-star level vs multiversal level... Yeah, I buy Goten taking this one fairly easily. And since both can take their own attacks and deal with people stronger than them, their durability should be the same case. So imo, Goten clears this round! Though it could have been very different if I bought the scaling to people like Sonic or Ben 10. Moving on to the next round!

Speed:

Speed is a pretty similar case to strength. K.O can scale to Enid in speed, who could pilot a motorcycle to another nebula in about a minute! A feat that is roughly a million times faster than light! And K.O can scale to Garnet in speeds, who can move up to 86 billion times faster than light! Couple that with his ability to slow down his perception of time, and K.O is extremely fast! But Goten just has better. Goten can scale to his father in base who has shown numerous infinite-immeasurable speed feats. Like moving in the instant teleportation dimension! Unless you scale K.O to Sonic, K.O has nothing able to keep up with this! Goten takes this!

Hax and abilities:

I know I've been kinda harsh to K.O for the last two rounds, but he makes up for it with this round. Goten has a lot of good techniques to use, whether it be ki blasts or rapid fire attacks. K.O however has a lot more variety and usefulness in his abilities and hax. Like his protective barrier that can nullify other's powers or his ability to step beyond the fourth wall. K.O takes abilities pretty solidly.

Experience, skill, and IQ:

Time for the final round! Let's not waste time! In terms of experience, skill, and IQ, they both have been trained under amazing fighters and have been constantly improving. Both have also thought of useful strategies while fighting and Goten in particular is doing well in school. I however gotta give these to K.O, having trained for longer and wanting to improve, unlike Goten who hasn't really trained that often and doesn't strive to constantly improve his skills, like his father. And K.O has thought of battle strategies way more often. Goten mainly just rushes in and fights. K.O wins this one.

Results:

And there you have it! While K.O does take a lot more categories, namely hax, abilities, IQ, e.t.c, Goten is just way too fast and way too strong for K.O to keep up with. But those are just my thoughts! Thank you for letting me do this Sonally and I hope you enjoyed reading my part!

Samfry

Hey everyone! Samfry here. I got a new look just in time for summer to come around and we have a good matchup to discuss today. Goten from Dragon Ball vs K.O from OK K.O Let's Be Heroes. Now to give my thoughts on who I think wins and why.

Strength, Durability, and Raw Power:

This one's tricky. Let's get one thing out of the way. Like with Ivan, I really don’t buy K.O. scaling to characters like Ben, Raven, and especially not Sonic. That Sonic remembering things that could be deemed as not canon really doesn’t back up this being the actual main Sonic or at least not one you could reasonably scale K.O. to.

But characters like Garnet I definitely buy him scaling to given she was in the actual finale of the show. Garnet being able to survive a planet sized black hole should clearly make K.O planet-star level. The Sun feat could be fine to use if not for the fact that he didn’t do it on his own and it was essentially a one time thing.

As for Goten, he has a much trickier level of power to find. Goten typically hasn’t done much fighting against super powerful opponents without some form of help, mainly Trunks to fuse into Gotenks. However, this doesn’t mean Goten is completely helpless as I think base Goten in the Buu Saga should already be around the same level of power as Namek Saga characters at the very least. This makes Goten at least planet to star level via powerscaling. This is further backed up with current Goten now actually being stronger than base Super Buu, the same Super Buu he and Trunks initially had to fuse into Gotenks and go SSJ3 just to be able to harm and also a Buu stronger than Good Buu, who himself clearly upscales from Cell.

So that’s planet-star level at most vs the same level at the very least... Yeah, Goten takes this one pretty easily.

Speed:

Speed is a pretty similar case to strength. Like Ivan said, K.O can scale to Enid in speed, who could pilot a motorcycle to another nebula in about a minute, a feat that gets up to roughly a million times faster than light. I do think K.O can scale to Garnet in speeds, who can move up to several billion times faster than light. This makes K.O. pretty damn fast.

Unfortunately, Goten simply has better. I definitely don’t buy anyone from canon DB getting to infinite, much less immeasurable, speeds, but the fact Goten could keep up with people like Kid Trunks, and (later on) post TOP base Gohan, Piccolo, and 18 while fighting Cell Max, he should naturally be much much faster. So that’s another point for Goten.

Hax and abilities:

In terms of hax, K.O. solidly takes this one if only cause he actually has hax. As for abilities, I think it’s a tie as K.O. seems to have more abilities while Goten seems to have better ones. However, Goten seems to be able to counter most of K.O.’s abilities.

But one ability of K.O.’s that I don’t see Goten being able to easily deal with is Toon Force. Toon Force allows its users to do just about anything they want so long as it’s deemed funny. The problem, however, is that K.O.’s level of it isn’t balls to the walls cosmic god levels like that of, say, Bugs Bunny (“Eh, what’s up, doc?”), Popeye (“I eats me spinach!”), or Mickey Mouse (“Meeska Mooska Mickey Mouse!”). It’s powerful in its own right for him, but not to the point of being considered godlike. It also doesn’t keep Goten from still outclassing K.O. in terms of stats.

Experience, skill, and IQ:

In terms of these 3 categories, I see K.O. taking them more than I do Goten. He’s actually trained for longer and genuinely wants to improve, unlike Goten who hasn't really trained that often and doesn't strive to constantly improve his skills like his father does. And K.O is much more of a combat strategist than Goten is, whose only real strategy is to basically just rush in headfirst.

Results:

While K.O. isn’t completely outclassed, Goten is simply far too fast and powerful for him to keep up with. Add in the fact that Goten can pretty much deal with almost all of K.O.’s abilities in some way and I don’t see Goten losing this one.

An Average Person

Ok so, this one was a tough one. For strength. I'm gonna have to go with Goten. While yes it IS true that K.O scales to base Sonic's strength, which is VERY impressive. that is still just an assumption, because we don't exactly see K.O fighting Sonic at his best. Even if we are generous and say he does scale to base Sonic, For Goten however, he scales to characters like Frieza, who in base form destroyed Planet Vegeta. Which should be much more stronger than anything K.O could do. For speed, this ones gonna be pretty even. For this one i'm gonna be generous and say that K.O is as fast as base form Sonic, as we HAVE seen him go toe to toe with Sonic in that regard. even if he was very tired, it still was a good enough effort to see him pull that off. Now- while K.O does have very good speed if he's scaling to base Sonic, it just- pales sadly in comparison to Gotens speed feats. Goten can scale to his father. Who has the one and only feat you all know as... *SAY IT WITH ME NOW!* BEERUS PUNCHCLASH SHOCKWAVE!!!

This alone blitz anything K.O had going for speed. Even if Goten is thousands of times weaker than Goku, it just completely blitzes him

But it isn't exactly ALL bad for K.O, he does have one thing going for him! HAX/ABILLITYS!

While sure Goten can use KI in various of ways, K.O has WAYYY more abillites that can keep Goten on his toes. The Disempower Dome/Blast can shut down most of Gotens ranged attacks, The invisi-juice can make him go invisible, and stuff like Regeneration and Teleportation could keep the fight in K.O's favor!

...However, Gotens Strength and Speed difference makes this REALLY hard to achieve. While K.O CAN theoretically just send Goten to space (Saiyan’s can't exactly breathe in space). The Strength and Speed difference is just too much for him, even with crossover scaling, K.O sadly doesn't have any viable option to put him down...

...Sorry fellow OK K.O fans, I tried to find a wincon, I really did, but it seems it's truly K.Over for us this time.

*Also fuck you CN bring back the show :(*
