Sally Acorn, The Heart and Leader of The Freedom Fighters of Sonic The Hedgehog
Fate and destiny, two words I'm sure you're familiar with. A lot of us lead lives so mundane, that we can't help but wonder what our part is to play in this game called life. We'll often look for our callings, either for guidance or adventure. We believe that we can find purpose from the calling of fate.
However, for a few, they were thrust upon destiny's path since birth, often having their lives dictated by the fate they were born into, and they can't help but question if they even want the role they were born into, either having to choose to stick it out or rebel against the established order. And for these two magical princesses of power, this holds true.
However, no matter what life hits them with, these two heroines of freedom never give up. They'll fight to the bitter end to see peace restored to all lives, not just in their kingdoms, but the entire planet. Whether it be through sacrificing their royal bloodline and magic, or their very body and soul, they'll give it all to defeat the tyrants (or shipping wars) that endanger their friends and family. All with the hope that at the end they can settle down, to share some Nachos or Chili Dogs, with their beloved. It's time to do it to it, cause with or without magic, were gonna settle once and for all who wins between The Magical Girl From Mewni and The Heart of The Freedom Fighters, in a DEATH BATTLE!
Before we get started.....
Star is pretty straightforward to follow, as she has been covered in an official Death Battle! before. We'll be covering everything in her show, as well as books that add on to things mentioned, not explained, or just builds upon the lore of the show ( Ex: Star Spell book).
Sally's quite a bit different, you see, our pal Sal originated from the way past cool tv show, Sonic SATAM. However, the majority of Sally's history comes from Archie's comics based off the series, and it's where most fans remember her best from. It's also the version of Sally which makes this matchup the most thematic.
With that being said we'll be focusing on the Archie Comic's version of Sally, however we'll also look into SATAM for supplementary information to honor the characters roots. We will also be excluding The Fleetway version of the character, who's just an entirely different character than both Archie and SATAM, while also sporting a different design.
Finally, while not confirmed canon (yet) like its Fleetway Counterpart, I will be including Archie Sonic Online. Now before you panic, Sally hasn't done anything yet in terms of combat, but it does make the background section a lot less depressing (uh, mostly). Go read Archie Sonic Online, it's really good.
With that being said, let's get this show on the road.
Star Butterfly
Long ago, colonist (who may have actually been humans) known as Mewmans made their way to Mewni, a dimension inhabited by magical beings, corn, and...MONSTERS, mostly corn, but MONSTERS. The Queen at that time used her magical powers to transform her weak army, into a powerful one, and they drove out the monsters.
Guided by The Magical Embodiment of The SpellBook, Glossaryck, the Mewmans were able to make their way through Mewni, huddle around a stump, and were bestowed The Royal Magic Wand. This wand would be passed on to each royal female princess on their fourteenth birthday. After many years of corn and wars against Monsters, Butterfly Castle stands tall, with the ruling family of Mewni and the Mewmans prospering. The Royal Magic Wand would find itself in the hands of a clumsy yet strangely powerful and energetic young girl...Star Butterfly.
However, Star was uhhh...a little too destructive with the wand and accidentally set fire to the kingdom. So instead of logically training her or sending her to the frankly horrifying ST Olga's for Wayward Princess, Queen Moon and King River (Star's parents) sent her to the less than magical planet (and in another dimension), Earth. There, Star would meet resident Safety Kid, Marco Diaz. Though the two would get off to a rocky start, after kicking some Monster butt, lead by the definitely compensating for something, Ludo, Star and Marco would become best friends. Star would show Marco a world of possibilities beyond the town of Echo Creek and that it's okay to have a little danger in life. While Marco would teach her how to slow down and enjoy being a normal teenager.
However, the fun wouldn't last, Star would learn that Monsters weren't the bad guys after all, and outside threats that threatened the people and home she made on Earth would force her to return to Mewni. However, even after defeating this threat and finally learning to dip down, Star journey had not come to an end. As she would be forced to deal with the repercussions of Mewman's mistreatment of Monsters, and she would learn a terrible secret.
Long ago, a Queen who learned of the true nature of Monsters like Star herself, would fall in love with the King of Monsters, Globgor. They would have a daughter but when discovered, this Queen and her Husband were imprisoned. Their daughter was discarded and traded for a peasant girl to become the new Princess of Mewni. The Queen, named Eclipsa would later be freed during Star's time, and the truth would be revealed, Star wasn't a real Butterfly. However, despite it all Star would never give up, and with Eclipsa as a guide (who still saw her as a granddaughter despite everything), Star would face the threats head on, including Eclipsa own daughter who wanted revenge. However, Star never forgot her time on Earth, and how great it felt to be a normal teen. So, when Eclipsa defeated Meteora, Star would abdicate the thrown to her. She would lead her fellow teenage friends in the charge for Eclipsa queenship, and afterward she could settle down on Earth once again.
However, it was not meant to be, the dangers would return to threaten the newly established peace that Star and Eclipsa brought between Mewmans and Monsters. And this time with betrayal's to boot, Star finally had enough. After seeing all the pain it had brought to everyone, Star had decided then and there to destroy magic...permanently. However, this would mean that travel between dimensions would be closed, and she would not be able to return to Earth...or Marco. Despite it all, Star would risk it all to save Mewni, and with the help of her friends and family, they would destroy magic across the multiverse, forever.
However, Star could not leave Marco, and he couldn't leave her. And for their sacrifices, they were rewarded. Through their love for each other, Star and Marco's were able to use magic one final time to fuse both of their universes and planets together, allowing them to be with each other.
Whether you agree with her choice to destroy magic or not, you can't deny that Star went through a lot. However, she never gave up and fought hard for peace, not just for Mewmans, but Monsters as well. She may not be a true Butterfly...but she's a Shining Star.
Sally Acorn
Long ago, humans reigned supreme on the planet Earth, in what was know as the "Old World". However, that would all change when humanity made contact with an alien species known as The Xorda. Due to humanity's greed, The Xorda would bomb the planet with the intent to destroy all life. And while some survived, many other's died.
The surviving humans would devolve into Overlanders (though some humans would survive and thrive in a city built for them called Station Square), and the animals of the planet would evolve into intelligent humanoid beings known as Mobians. Many Kingdom's would rise from the Mobian population, but none more prominent than The Kingdom of Acorn. The world of Mobius would be peaceful, however a Great War would take place between The Acorn Kingdom and Overlanders. King Maximillian Acorn would led his people to victory alongside the help of his second warlord...Dr. Ivo Robotnink.
While the Kingdom would win this war, it was all for naught, as the powerful doctor would seize control over the kingdom and would slowly but surely roboticized Mobotropolis. However, some would escape from the Doctor's grasp, and would make their way to Knothole Village. There they would regroup and build themselves an army strong enough to take back their home. They would be known as The Freedom Fighters, they fight for the freedom and restoration of Mobius from Dr. Robotnink and his cowardly nephew, Snively. Their strongest fighter may have been Ogilve Maurice Hedgehog, you might know him better as Sonic, The Fastest Thing Alive. However, the true leader, brains, and heart of The Freedom Fighters was none other than King Max's daughter and Princess of Mobotropolis...Sally Acorn.
Sal would lead this ragtag group of kids and eventually teenagers in the war against Robotnink alongside Sonic. Through many action packed and sometimes wacky battles, it would all come to head when Sally...died. But not really, and eventually The Freedom Fighters would defeat Robuttnik once and for all. And Sally would awake from her comatose position, and would reunite with Sonic, with a kiss (awww). And that's where the story ends....
Just kidding, because Sally would have to deal with the rebuilding of her kingdom, her fathers return and his frankly baffling choices as king, a newly found brother, and the return of Ivo Robotnink from another dimension, now going by Eggman. All this would culminate with the return of The Xorda seeking to finish what they started. To save the world, Sonic would sacrifice himself to stop the black hole dropped on the planet, but not before leaving Sally with assurance of his love for her.
It would later be revealed that Sonic had survived and he would later return home, however this event would scar Sally, in ways she probably didn't understand. When the opportunity arose to step back from the action and become acting queen with Sonic acting as her king she tried to take it. However, Sonic wasn't ready for that, as he knew that the world still needed him in the fight. However, Sally didn't see it that way, and shamefully publicly broke up with The Blue Blur.
Years earlier, Sonic himself would propose a similar question to Sally, which she vehemently refused based on the fact that they were still needed. So it seems out of character for Sally to reject Sonic assessment when the roles were reversed. Some would chalk it up to bad writing (and that's probably true) but we do have to think about the fact that back then life was much simpler. While Sally still had loads of responsibilities she hadn't been through the things she had been through now. She's been fighting her whole life, leading others, having to sacrifice much for the cause. And Sonic perceived death had made her snap under the pressure of everything she's been through. When she got Sonic back she didn't want to lose him again, and she reacted in the worse way possible.
Sally would come to realize this, and would feel shame for this event, and it would dampen her sprit. Even after gaining a new hairstyle, reclaiming her title as The Freedom Fighters leader, and some of her old personality back she would never truly be able to move on. Even when a possible new love in another royal leader, Monkey Khan, emerged, she just couldn't move pass her mistake. And after fighting against the forces of Mogul, Nagus, Enerjak, The Iron Queen, and finally defeating Dr. Eggman once and for all, Sally would get the chance to finally rectify her mistake, as The Blue Blur and The Princess would become one again, and they were better than ever.
However, good things can only last for so long. Dr. Eggman would rise from the ashes, more ruthless than ever, the people would turn on Sally's longtime companion and best friend, the AI Nicole, and Nagus would attempt to overthrow her brother. However, Sally would continue the fight against the forces of evil. This would all lead to an assault on the newly rebuilt Death Egg. After some space time manipulation, Eggman most diabolical plan would be revealed, a worldwide roboticizer that would destroy everything made of metal. This would include the city of Mobotropolis and all of its Robian citizens. To stop this Sally would travel to the heart of The Death Egg to stop the Doctor's plan. However, the roboticizer would fire regardless, so instead of outright stopping it, she turned it back onto the Death Egg...and herself.
Sally plan would succeed, however, since she was at the center of the roboticizer, she would be roboticized. Eggman would use her against her family and friends, The Freedom Fighters would eventually free her, with the help of the future warrior Silver The Hedgehog. However Sally's experience as Mecha Sally would leave her traumatized, to the point that she could no longer properly lead as she would freeze up in battle, becoming fearful of the evils they have to face. This would force her to step down and allow her friends to continue the fight while she mentally recover.
Sally has lived a life of service to others, and no matter what comes her way she always pushed forward and lives her life in belief of a better tomorrow, so it's okay if she takes time to slow down for now. And there is hope, in a future that's extremely possible, The Freedom Fighters succeed in defeating Eggman once and for all, and Sally is finally able to settle down and start a family with Sonic, and lead Mobotropolis into a peaceful future. Freedom has never had a better leader than Mobotropolis greatest...Warrior Princess.

Star Butterfly
Despite popular belief, Star actually has a lot of experience when it comes to combat. She's was babysat and trained to fight by the royal nights ever since she was a toddler. She's even been fighting monsters since before the series started. She's also had training in many different weapons from swords, to mace's, and even bow's and arrow's.
When it comes to intelligence, Star is not the sharpest tool in the shed, having spent entire episode having to fix a time loop due to trying to avoid a simple math problem (Though she may have an understanding of multiverse theory and the concept of space time). With that said Star is still very capable and reliable princess, even if she isn't the smartest.
Sally Acorn
Ring Blades
Created by Dr. Ellidy, these blades are Sally's weapons of choice. These energy blades are manifested through the blue rings around Sally's arms. These blades are strong enough to cut through metal, Dark Gaia creatures, and even Metal Sonic. In the digital world, Sally was able to generate a pair of blades with greater versatility.
The Deep Power Stones
Overclocked Nicole
Achieved by hooking up a Red Ring to her handheld, this form greatly enhances Nicole's abilities, however, Nicole has never mastered this form, and can only stay in the form so long before the form overwhelms her and causes physical strain, and even burnout her handheld console.

- Bacon Kitty Hawaiian Nightmare: Shoots a blast of three-eyed kittens, bacon, and pineapples.
- Blueberry Cupcake Bazooka: Creates a bazooka that fires blueberry cupcakes at a target.
- Bunny Rabbit Blast: Shoots a powerful blast of energy and bunnies. Used by Star to leap for a far distance.
- Cataclysmic Total Extinction Death Blast: Presumably generates a large, extinction-level blast of energy. Marco stopped her from using this on a bug, would have been cool tho.
- Cupcake Blast: Summons pink cupcakes.
- Dagger Crystal Heart Attack: Shoots heart-shaped daggers that are used as projectiles.
- Glitter Whale Battering Ram: Shoots out a small whale to ram through a door.
- Glittery Heart Slap Blast: Blasts the target with glittery heart-shaped energy.
- Glowworm Blast: Shoots blue glowworms that explode on impact.
- Laser Beam Blast: A white-hot laser blast that reduces the target to ashes.
- Macaroon Melee Swarm: Surrounds the target in a ring of floating macaroons, is anyone else hungry?
- Makeup Blast: Presumably creates a blast of makeup.
- Mega Mushroom Destruction Blast: Creates a blast of mushrooms that causes enemies to grow mushrooms on their bodies.
- Narwhal Blast: Star's most well known spell, shoots a stream of narwhals to fly everywhere and land on enemies.
- Pile Driver Panda Explosion: Shoots a stream of pandas to fly everywhere and blow stuff up.
- Mega-Explosive Crystal Laser: Creates a beam of red light similar to a laser pointer. Supposedly capable of neutralizing entire planets.
- Jellybean Hallucination Mist: Can beat Goku.
- Radical Rainbow Blast: Creates a blast of rainbow lights.
- Rainbow Avalanche: Creates a blast of liquid rainbow that can strike in multiple spots. Appears as a mere trickle when Star's magic wand is low on power.
- Rainbow Blast: Shoots a rainbow, hearts, and winged bunnies at the target.
- Rainbow Fist Punch: Creates a rainbow with a fist at the end. Used for punching enemies.
- Rainbow Kaiju Battle Armor: Creates a giant rainbow aura around the caster that's used for battling large enemies. (Eat your heart out Sasuke, also kinda looks like Finn The Human)
- Strawberry Annihilation: Fires a powerful strawberry blast of energy.
- Syrup Tsunami Shockwave: Summons a tidal wave of maple syrup to wash enemies away. The tsunami produced has a large area of effect.
- Thermonuclear Butterfly Blast: Creates an explosion of fire and butterflies in a localized area.
- Tiara Tornado: Showers surrounding targets with a volley of crowns and tiaras.
- Winterstorm Hyperblow: Creates a blast of frigid air that causes freezing. Can also freeze objects in midair.
- Unnamed Bow-and-Arrow Spell: Transforms the royal magic wand into a bow that shoots magical arrows.
- Unnamed Missile Launcher Spell: Call her Shadow The Hedgehog cause she's packing heat!

- Cotton Candy Cloud: Creates a pink cloud that spits out spaghetti and meatballs.

- Glitter Dragon Escalation: Transforms a broken bridge into a dragon made out of energy to lift the bridge and get the user to the other side.
- Kitten Pegasus Battle Barrel: Turns a barrel into a flying barrel with cat eyes, paws, and tail
- Lightning Twinkle Rescue: Shoots green cat-like faces which upon impact turns animated objects back to normal.
- Mending Heart Hurricane: Returns a magically transformed person or animal to its original state.
- Releaseo Demonius Infestica: Gives the person/creature affected a tentacle for an arm. The tentacle does not act as part of the original body, but has a will of its own.
- Shimmer Soap Tentacle Wave: Turns clothes into tentacles that restrain the target.
- Mewberty Wings: Simple they allow her to fly.
- Omatida Eyes: These eyes allow her to see multiple dimensions all at once and traumatize your local half human/half alien neighbor.
- Dimensional Travel: With this new form comes the ability to open portals to other dimension without the need of Dimensional Scissors.
- Glottalimous Voice: A change in a person's voice that starts as a raspy growl but gradually develops into a multidimensional voice, sounding like several voices overlapping.
- Energy Blast: She can fire off blast of energy.
- Flight: Fly Chipmunk Fly!
- Dimensional Rifts: The ability to create Dimensional Rifts and Dimensional Travel.
- Mind Reading: She reads the minds!
- Precognition/Clairvoyance: It can show the future, and claims to know everything, from yesterday, today, and tomorrow. Simply put, "it knows everything" (Wait does that mean it knew about Eggman's future plan's to use The SGW to rewrite the multiverse forcing Sonic to counteract it, but then Eggman interfered causing it to be rewritten anyway, erasing the previous world history and some of its people? Wait...did Sonic commit accidental genoci---)
- Healing: Heals Uncle Chuck.
- Power Absorption: It's most well known ability is that it can nullify and absorb the powers of extremely powerful beings, this includes Super Form level threats, like Ixis Nagus, and even Enerjak, twice.
- Mind Control: The Sword of Acorns has consistently shown the ability to resist and counter the effects of Mind Control and manipulation.
- Transmutation: Simply put the Sword has resisted and countered this as well, like King Max crystalization.
- Kept The Magic Wand safe

Sol Dimension: The dimension where Blaze and Marine reside. Blaze is referred to as a princess from another dimension.
The World of the Arabian Nights: A world made up the stories of the Arabian Nights, while it's hard to prove that all 1,001 Nights are their own separate universes, there exist a place within the Night Palace which transports you to a different space-time, so the Arabian Nights should at least consist of 2 universes.
The World of Camelot: A world inspired by Arthurian legends.
The Sequences of the Shadow the Hedgehog game: The many pathways to complete the Shadow the Hedgehog game which are saved by the game to view in the Library Option in Story Mode, there exist 326 in total.
Sleeping Egg Zone: A dream world created by Doctor Eggman.
Egg Reverie Zone: A dimension where time constantly shifts back and forth, even to points which don't exist.
Chaotic Inferno Zone: The homeworld of the Ifrit.
Cyberspace: Another digital world which appeared in Shadow the Hedgehog which relays information to and from Earth. There exists at least 2 Cyberspaces, the United Federation and the Eggman Empire.
Aqua Planet Zone’s dimension: The dimension where Aqua Planet Zone resides.
Flicky Dimension: The parallel dimension where the Flickies reside.
Special Stage Universe (Sonic Chaos): The universe where the Special Stages take residence in Sonic Chaos, differing to the other Special Stages, are all stated to reside in a single universe.
Stardust Speedway’s Bad Future: The dystopian future of Stardust Speedway.
Sonic Riders’ Digital Dimension
Special Stages are where The Chaos Emeralds reside in a lot of the games, they are alternate realities, an example includes Fang's dimension. It is implied in Rush they are entered by dimensional distortions. Then you get the higher extra dimensional shit like Maginaryworld.
Maginaryworld is where Illumina, the Forcejewels and the Precioustone reside. It is a dream world created from the dreams of people in other dimensions through the power of the Precioustone, and contains parts of everyone's dreams. Maginaryworld was almost plunged into darkness by Void when he shattered the perfected Precioustone into pieces.
Dreams and reality coexist in Maginaryworld, everyone's dreams exist separately, with Illumina manifesting in each of the quartet's dreams. We can assume that there exist as many dream worlds as beings who are capable of dreaming, with the Maginaryworld being stated to be the source of all dreams across all dimensions.
Dreams are shown to contain starry skies and nebulae and large celestial bodies. Visions of the past are considered as dreams. In it we see numerous galaxies in the same manner that is shown in the dreams world located within the Maginaryworld. Wishes and Desires can become real in MaginaryWorld, like how Lumina states “Maginaryworld... The world where everyone's dreams come true... Precioustone... The crystalized essence of everyone's dreams... But... There are many different kinds of dreams. Ambition, Possession, Domination... These are dreams from the dark realm. Is that... Void?”
There's The Next Evolution, this where echidna's go when they die. It's a layer of its own existence, above the mortal plane. It's a plane of existence that is equally in the middle between the mortal plane of existence and a higher plane of existence. Brotherhood members go through a process of evolution, its described as transcending and ascending, from their corporeal state of being into their new higher plane that bridges the gulf between time and space where the concept of time is irrelevant to them.
Finally there's The Chaos Force, it's beyond all the previous layers of existence and where all Chaos Users draw their power from (until Sonic nuked it out of existence so I don't know where their getting their power from now but I don't consider Post SGW canon so I don't care) People who ascend to the realm of The Chaos Force are rendered them outside the totality of space-time. This includes all locations on the lower planes of reality that are connected to the Source of All, like Maginary and The Cosmic Interstate. It transcends all the lower levels of existence.
Okay there's also Off Panel, this sees the entirety of the comics events as fictional. This would cap the verse at 8-D but its has it's issues that I won't get into for the purposes of this blog, I'll let more well versed and knowledgable people explain that. Then outside ALL OF THAT, is pocket zones like Skull Egg. AND THEN BEYOND ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL OF THAT, is other separate multiverse's that are also similarly sized to Sonic's own multiverse, that exist in their own bubble's of reality, including Megaman, Sabrina The Teenage Witch, TMNT, and motherfucking Spawn.

Thanks for letting me take part in this! With all that you said, I think Sally should take the win. Let's get the big stuff out of the way.
Attack potency: Star is able to explode a universe and beat Toffee who could beat someone who could keep control of the multiverse. Even if we say the multi stuff for Star is legit, Sally is just way too strong. She can keep up with Sonic, who is at least universal and immeasurable in his base form. She also can damage Knuckles who is around similar speeds to Sonic and has some multiversal stuff of his own with the chaos emeralds. And Nicole can create walls that can stop Nagus, who fought against ULTRA Sonic and HYPER Tails at the same time! Both of them being 6-D or 7-D. Sally takes the strength advantage. And since she can take Nagus' attacks, she also wins in durability.
Now let's talk about Speed. I don't think it's a hot take to say Sally is faster. Sure, Star has some immeasurable speed feats, but I find them all a bit iffy. Sally meanwhile has consistently kept up with Sonic, who I already said was immeasurable.
Now, let's talk about abilities and weapons. This I have to give to Star in terms of variety. She has a lot more, some of which could easily catch Sally off guard. But still, Sally's stuff is simply better. Like I said, some stuff can help her keep up with Sonic. Nothing Star has, is able to do that. And that's also excluding chaos powers, something Sally could probably use.
And hax? Sure, some of Star's things could work like the black velvet inferno and the dreamless sleep spell, but some stuff can straight up backfire on Star, like with the Eazy Peazy Time Freezy. Sally meanwhile also has good hax (even excluding the chaos magic stuff) and not much has a downside to it. And the sword of acorns and the source of all is just overkill. I got to give it to Sally.
Sally is also smarter and is likely also just as skilled as Star. That's also ignoring her time as the queen in the future.

Yoyoyo! Thanks for letting me be part of this! All right, let’s get this show started. Based on everything you said in the blog, I also agree with Sally winning.
Attack potency: Just gonna get this out of the way real quick. Star is one of those characters whose tier is never really unanimously agreed on, but for the sake of this blog, I’ll go with what you said.
First up is strength and raw power. Star being able to affect an entire universe is certainly impressive for sure. On top of this, Toffee could beat someone who could keep control of the entire multiverse, the same Toffee that Star beat later on. The problem with scaling Star to multi, however, is that it’s iffy to buy for some, me included. Unfortunately, even if you did buy it, Sally is much, much, MUCH stronger and more powerful. She can keep up with the likes of freaking Sonic. And not just any Sonic. Archie Sonic (the most powerful version of this character. Archie Sonic is at least universal and already fast as hell in just his base form. She also damaged Knuckles (someone who is pretty comparable to Sonic) and has some multiversal stuff of his own with the Chaos Emeralds. And the holo-lynx Nicole can create walls that can stop Ixis Naugus. Ixis is a wizard powerful enough to handle and even keep up with both Ultra Sonic and Hyper Tails at the same damn time! Ultra Sonic alone is already at least 5-dimensional. Sally takes the strength and power advantages by a massive gap. And since she can tank Naugus' attacks, she also solidly takes the durability advantage.
Up next? Speed. Yeah, no, Sally has got that in the bag as well. Like Ivan said, the immeasurable speed tier feats for Star just seem iffy. Sally meanwhile has consistently kept up with Archie Sonic, who is already up to 324.68 octillion times FTL in just his base form with his Super and Ultra forms enabling him to match beings like Mammoth Mogul and Solaris, the latter of which can time travel just by moving and consumed all of time itself upon simply awakening.
Now, let's talk about abilities and weapons. Star easily has the more varied/versatile arsenal. Not only that, but a lot of her spells are rather unpredictable, so many of her spells can throw Sally off. Unfortunately for Star, more unpredictable =/= better. Sally has stuff that can help her keep up with Sonic. Nothing Star has can really match that. And that's not even including the Power of Chaos itself.
What’s next? Oh yeah, hax. Now sure, some of Star's things could possibly work such as time freeze and memory erasing, but some of Star’s spells have shown to backfire on her. Sally meanwhile also has some good hax herself, some of which don’t have a downside of some kind. And giving Sally things like the Sword of Acorns is just… overkill really.
Regardless of who you think is more skilled and experienced, Sally is quite a good deal smarter, giving her a major advantage in combat since this means she’ll be sure to make each and every move count.
To me, Sally Acorn has more than enough in her favor to pull the win against the Mewni princess. So the winner is Sally Acorn!

Stats
Starting with stats, this is an actually interesting department at first glance. Star Butterfly is blatantly universal through her tricky spells and scaling chain. As mentioned earlier, Star is potentially a multiversal threat through multiple different avenues. The whole dipping down from Star, and Omnitraxus Prime scaling through Toffee, is arguably pretty valid. Even if we were going with this scaling, the higher cosmology of Archie Sonic is just way too much. Sally, given her Sword of the Acorns, was able to match foes like Enerjak who would scale to Archie Sonic and the chaos force. You know, something that’s 7D. Even without this she has been shown to match people like Sonic and Scourge, so should be around the scale that Star is putting out. Of course, this is if you buy Multiversal Star. If she caps at Uni, then Sally is way above.
Speed is also not close. It’s not like Star doesn’t have anything great, scaling her to the total annihilation spell would be (75 trillions c). But Sally is a Sonic character, and Sonic characters don’t mess around in speed. Sally is either Octillions of times faster than Star, or perhaps even infinitely faster if you scale base Sonic to immeasurable. There’s genuinely no way that Star takes this.
Overall, while Star is definitely more impressive than meets the eye, Sally has this in the bag.
Arsenal and Abilities
Star has a wide list of powers and abilities, but how useful are they? Well, many of Star's abilities are useless in this fight. Create cupcake blasts, exploding glow worms, dagger projectiles, it’s all useless. Some of Star’s more useful options, like mind hax, are completely ruined by Sally’s own blade giving her a resistance. Star does actually have some options for victory. Star could potentially transmute Sally, freeze her in time, trap her in her sleep, trap Sally into another dimension, there’s tons she can do. If she manages to pull these off, Star could get a win. I say “Could.” for a couple very big reasons. First, the speed gap. There’s no way that Star would actually get the chance to pull any of these off. Two, mind reading. Sally would be able to read Star's mind and see these attacks coming. She could interrupt and attack Star. Given that Star has a large strength disadvantage she’d be forced to play defensively.
While Star has much more versatile hax and manages to edge out this category, Sally still should keep up thanks to her own Hax, and counter.
Any other factors
Super easy here. While Star is a capable and strong fighter, she’s very impulsive. Sally is a much more tactical fighter and has fought a wider variety of foes.
With that, my reasoning is complete. As much as I'd want Star to get that W, she’s very much lacking in stats to put her advantages to use. R.I.P Star, died like the show, pretty horribly.
